Adam IronsAcoustical Consultant
Adam Irons is an acoustical consultant with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. During Adam’s time at Purdue, he focused his studies on acoustics under the guidance of Professor Stuart Bolton. His program led him to internships in Columbus, Indiana and Cambridge, Massachusetts. At his most recent internship, Adam participated in acoustical measurements and site visits. These included environmental compliance testing for manufacturing, structure-borne vibration testing, and analysis. Adam’s internship research project focused on pickelball noise data, developing MATLAB scripts to optimize the analysis. Since joining ABD, Adam has begun working on projects across the country from historic buildings to public library acoustics, performance venues and schools. Adam is building his experience with acoustically sensitive spaces including: Healthcare, Higher Education, Workplace, K-12 Schools, and Worship Environments, and is quickly developing as an acoustical consultant. In Adam’s personal time he can be found playing music. He’s been a drummer in a couple of punk and hardcore bands. When the weather is nice, he enjoys learning to surf on Lake Michigan, hiking nature trails, and biking,
