Ada Christian School

Gymnasium

Acoustics By Design was brought in by Ada Christian School to design architectural acoustics, mechanical noise control, and room isolation for their new multipurpose facility. The building serves dual functions for athletic events and performing arts. Our professional engineers provided precision recommendations for the gymnasium and stage areas that met the LEED for Schools criteria. The challenge was to create a balanced amount of sound absorption and diffusion to support both sports events and creative arts performances. Our final report specified the right amount of engineered acoustical treatment to serve both purposes. The gymnasium features a Taraflex floor, stage area, and locker rooms with showers. This project is currently under construction.
